Dr Cairns offers access to the full range of investigations necessary for diagnosis and treatment including blood tests, X-rays, CT and MRI imaging, and nerve conduction tests.

Dr Cairns has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound which is increasingly used in diagnosis and also to guide joint and soft tissue injections. Dr Cairns regularly acts as a tutor and faculty member for musculoskeletal ultrasound courses including those run by the British Society for Rheumatology and Irish Society for Rheumatology.
